• Watch Inspiring Interview With Pure Flix Founder And “God’s Not Dead” Producer, Russell Wolfe.

(Pure Flix) Each of us likely has a special collection of what may be defined as “Life’s Defining Moments”. You know, those rare experiences that are so impressionable they leave a life-long memory,  or impact us so greatly that it inspires us to see lifWlkWRussellCrossingFinishLine1e through a new or different lens.  Experiences that encourage us to make positive changes, or perhaps challenge us to embark on a whole new path of adventure.

One recent example has been witnessing Russell Wolfe, founder of Pure Flix Entertainment, navigate this challenging season with courage, determination and his unwavering faith. Russell’s heart, mind, soul and character have recorded many “Defining Moments” for all of us at Pure Flix, and so many others who’s lives have been impacted by Russell Wolfe.

Most recently, the local “Walk With Russell” event which many of Russell’s family, friends, employees and business colleagues came out to support. We were joined by thousands of others battling ALS, in the Walk to Defeat ALS, the ALS Association Arizona Chapter’s signature event of the year, at Scottsdale Stadium.

Local news Channel 12 and The Arizona Republic were so inspired by Russell’s story they produced a special report that includes some footage from this incredible event.

“I’m just giving it my all and fighting through physical therapy, doing what I know I need to do, within my own power, to get better,” he said. “But praying that it’s all up to God, because it is…” - Russell Wolfe.

Watch this inspiring interview and share it with others who may need to be encouraged today.

As reported in this special segment by Channel 12/The Arizona Republic:  “Russell Wolfe,  of Scottsdale is using his personal battle to inspire others. This past weekend, dozens of friends and family showed their support for Russell’s family and others battling ALS…they showed up for a man demonstrating incredible strength of character and spirit…Russell knows what he is up against. His positivity, he says, comes from faith.”

..I mean, you can choose to focus on the negative. What good does that do?” he said. “I think if people could focus on the blessings you still have or the blessing of what you’re still able to do, and not focus on what you can’t do, you’re in a much better place….” He also thinks there’s a reason we go through what we go through. “So if you look at that in a positive light, take your eyes off yourself and look at the big picture, and you can be a blessing to others,” Read The Full Story Here.

  • God’s Not Dead In OK Middle School…”Faith In America” Painting Stays.

(God’s Not Dead)  Once again we celebrate the response of a middle school in Oklahoma that took a bold stance against the atheist organization, FFRF who filed a complaint recently claiming this amazing painting, by Donald Zolan, violates the US Constitution and demanded it be removed.

FaithInAmericaAccording to a post on TheBlaze.com, “A painting on display in an Oklahoma middle school’s main office has caught the ire of atheist activists who are demanding that officials immediately remove it.

The poster, based on a painting titled “Faith in America” by artist Donald Zolan, has been hanging in Kenneth Cooper Middle School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for nearly two decades. But the Freedom From Religion Foundation claims it violates the U.S. Constitution. The district, though, doesn’t appear to be budging.”

An attorney for the Putnam City Public School District responded to the atheist group September 29, noting that the complaint — reportedly based on a local family’s dissatisfaction with the poster — is the first ever the district has received in its 18 years of displaying the image.

“We cannot agree that the poster displayed in the office is a per se violation of the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution,” wrote attorney Anthony Childers… “ Read Full Story Here

  • Video: Former Atheist Lee Strobel’s Powerful Conversion Testimony Proves God’s Not Dead

(God’s Not Dead) Former atheist, award winning Chicago Tribune journalist and Yale Law graduate, Lee Strobel shares his powerful “Saul-to-Paul” testimony of how the living God supernaturally grabbed his heart and mind to reveal Himself.  Lee Strobel began investigating the credibility of Christianity, as well as the Bible’s authenticity and inerrancy. Lee’s journey and research uncovered overwhelming evidence that he couldn’t ignore or deny.

Ultimately God prepared Lee’s heart to accept the truth. Since that faithful day, God has been using His new creation mightily – his gifts, skills, talents and passion for spreading the Good News Of The Gospel.  According to his web site, after investigating the evidence for Jesus, Lee became a Christian in 1981. He joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church in 1987 and later became a teaching pastor. He joined Saddleback Valley Community Church as a teaching pastor in 2000. He left Saddleback to write books and host the national network TV program Faith Under Fire.

Atheist-tuCaseForChristrned-Christian Lee Strobel, is a New York Times best-selling author of more than twenty books and serves as Professor of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University.

Described in the Washington Post as “one of the evangelical community’s most popular apologists,” Lee shared the Christian Book of the Year award in 2005 for a curriculum he co-authored with Garry Poole about the movie The Passion of the Christ. He also won Gold Medallions for The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and The Case for a Creator, all of which have been made into documentaries distributed by Lionsgate. • What If People Who Believe In God And The Bible Threatened Legal Action Unless Scripture Was Displayed And Prayer Was Included…?

(God’s Not Dead) Interesting question isn’t it? Seriously ponder the logic here; If the people who don’t believe God exists, are offended by prayers, and claim that Bible scripture is divisive can take legal action to stop it (in public buildings or private businesses) – then why can’t people of faith make same argument for anything that is void of God or the Bible?  Like Josh (Shane Harper) in “God’s Not Dead” stated, “…how can you hate something that doesn’t exist..?

Once again, an atheist organization is crying fowl over a privately funded sculpture placed at a school outside Madison County High School in Danielsville, Georgia that includes inscriptions from Romans 8:31 “If God be for us, who can be against us?” and Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

TheBlaze.com report stated that “While an anonymous local man reportedly started the controversy when he complained, many locals have spoken out in favor of the Christian-themed monument”. Why are these baseless threats often made by anonymous people who are offended by something related to something they claim doesn’t exist? Read Full Report on TheBlaze.com Here.

  • New Interview With Dr. John Lennox Answering “The Hardest Question Of All”

Rice Broocks “Defenders Of The Faith” Series – Answering “the hardest question of all”…

In this last interview in a four part series, Oxford Professor John Lennox addresses what he calls, “the hardest question of all” which is the problem of pain and suffering.  In this year’s top Christian movie produced by Pure Flix, God’s Not Dead,  this pivotal question leads to the dramatic, final classroom scene of the movie, between Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper) and professor Radisson, (Kevin Sorbo).

Dr Lennox stresses in this interview that this issue is unlike any other. “Cancer looks different to an Oncologist than it does to a mother who’s been told she has three months to live”. It is vital to remember that we are to give the reasons for our hope with “gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15). The circumstances that have caused people to turn away from God are many times complex and very painful. We must listen more than we talk, yet be confident that the answers we give can bring people peace.

There are other issues that are addressed in this dialogue that are important in talking with skeptics such as religious violence. “There is no excuse for violence in the name of God” Lennox emphasizes. Jesus didn’t call his disciples to fight for Him with the sword, but to spread His message by the power of its truth.

This was by far my favorite segment in this series. To be able to have a discussion covering a wide range of topics with John Lennox was unforgettable. I pray that you will be encouraged as you watch and also more confident to share the Gospel with others as a result of these sessions.

Remember, God is not the cause of our pain, but the source of our healing and hope.

    Didn’t catch the first three interviews…Click Here: Episode 1Episode 2Episode 3.  Enjoy.

JLennoxBk1Dr. Lennox is the author of several books including “Seven Days that Divide that World”, “God’s Undertaker- Has Science Buried God?”, and “Gunning for God- Why the New Atheists are missing the target” He possesses a keen sense of taking complex scientific issues and communicating them in such a way that people of all ages and backgrounds can grasp their meaning.

  • Tenn. Cheerleaders Bring Prayer Back To Football Field

(God’s Not Dead) The ACLU and the FFRF atheist organizations appear to have the media’s attention these days. As their small voice prowls around our nation scheming to intimidate anyone they can with their false threats, claiming violation of “the establishment clause” or “separation of church and state”, these bold “Defenders Of The Faith” (Tenn. High School Cheerleaders) were not going to stand by and be silenced.

As reported by WBIR Channel 10 “After Oneida High School found out they had to drop the prayer from their football games, many in the community felt they were missing something. The change came after pressure and a letter from the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee, or ACLU.

One group couldn’t let that stand. That group has one of the biggest voices during a football game. It’s the cheerleading squad.

Kevin Acres sits in the booth for every Oneida High School home game. This year, his repertoire will be missing something– the pregame prayer. “Far as I know we have been playing football here since 1930 and been praying ever since,” said Acres. “We just felt as long as no one here locally complained, we can continue to do it,” said Acres.

That went on until this season. The school started feeling pressure from outside groups to end that religious tradition, so they replaced it with a moment of silence. “I heard the moment of silence, but it was kind of a sick feeling in my stomach,” said head football coach Tony Lambert.

In this moment, Acres gave people a choice.

“During our moment of silence, if you want to say a prayer, that would be perfectly fine,” said Acres.

Asia Canada is a cheerleader for Oneida. She and her squad felt a moment of silence wasn’t enough, so they took action.

“He called for the moment of silence and I started off, ‘Our Father who art in heaven’ and everyone joined in,” said Canada. Even the visiting team’s cheerleaders and fans joined in. “When they started saying it, the crowd started saying the Lord’s prayer. And by the time the prayer was over with, the entire stadium was saying it,” said Acres. Read Full Story Here.

  • Video: “God’s Not Dead” In US Marine Corps

(God’s Not Dead) Despite all the religious persecution and first amendment challenges unfolding in what seems like  daily occurrences across America, we still have assurance that our God is very much alive, present and active.  Scripture affirms God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipresent – in Hollywood, business, athletics, communities, schools, and our military.

This must see and share video will raise the hair on the back of your neck and bring tears to your eyes:

Please prayer for our men and women in uniform. The God of the Holy Bible is systematically being stripped out of our military – all branches are under attack. Just last week the “So help me God” requirement in Air Force oaths was removed – Read Full Story Here.

  • Must See Video: Christian Woman Reveals Why She Risked Execution.

(God’s Not Dead) This brave sister in Christ and “Defender Of The Faith” has inspired millions of believers and caused us to re-examine our own faith, and ask the defining question..How far are you willing to go, to stand firm in your faith and not deny your Lord in the midst of true, life threatening persecution…that will ultimately end with your own execution, unless you renounce Jesus as Lord?

Megan Kelly sat down with Ibrahim as she shares her amazing story. Listen to and share this awesome interview and pray for the the same courage, hope and trust in our living God as Ibrahim. The pace of evil on the move in this world, we may just find ourselves in similar circumstances, so be prepared.

TheBlaze.com featured a story this week that shared why our sister was willing to risk execution “The situation was difficult, but I was sure that God would stand by my side,” she said. “I relied only on my faith.” Ibrahim described how she continually refused to abide by imams’ demands that she embrace Islam, noting that she was given three days to renounce her faith — a request and timeline she ignored.

Kelly asked why she didn’t simply comply and tell the scholars what they wanted to hear in exchange for her life back.

“It’s not possible, because it’s not true,” she said, noting that she wasn’t willing to compromise. “It’s my right to follow the religion of my choice … faith means life. If you don’t have faith, you’re not alive.” Read Full Story Here

  • Update: College Football Player Fights Back Against Atheists For Right To Wear Crosses In Honoring Fellow Students.

(God’s Not Dead)  How much more of this will God’s people allow before the “Defenders Of The Faith” stand-up and say enough! Not to mention all Americans who are watching their First Amendment Rights get stripped away right before our eyes.

Christian persecution just hit a new low, or high depending on how you look at it. Last week Arkansas State caved into to an atheist organization’s threat and removed Christian Crosses placed on players helmets to honor two fellow Christian football players who tragically passed away recently.

According to a press release from Liberty Council last week, “When Arkansas State University football team tragically lost two teammates, the athletes decided to mourn their loss by adding a small vinyl cross and the lost teammates’ initials to their helmets. However, Jonesboro, Arkansas, attorney Louis Nisenbaum complained that the student-initiated memorial was akin to Congress establishing a religion, and ASU Counsel Lucinda McDaniel told the players to cut the bottom of the cross off, so that it resembles a “plus sign.”

“After fighting for students’ rights for many years, nothing should surprise me, but I am appalled that someone would harass these young people as they mourn the deaths of their teammates. I am saddened that the university did not stand up for their rights. These young people have done nothing wrong! They have as much right to communicate their ideas–or in this case, their grief–as the attorney who somehow feels offended by the small vinyl crosses they are wearing on their helmets.”

In a letter to Arkansas State University Chancellor Tim Hudson, Liberty Counsel said, “The university should immediately rescind the unconstitutional directive suppressing private student expression in the form of crosses on individual players’ helmets.” Read Full Story Here

Update: After Officials Mandate Christian Crosses Be Removed From Helmets A Bold Student Fights Back…AShelmetCross1

We are pleased to report that there is one who is not going to stand idle. This week Fox News reporter Todd Sterns reported “ASU’s actions in defacing the students’ memorial stickers to remove their religious viewpoint is illegal viewpoint discrimination against the students’ free speech,” said Hiram Sasser, director of litigation for Liberty Institute.

Sasser, who is representing an unnamed student, gave the university until Wednesday to “cease your censorship and publicly acknowledge, in writing, the right of ASU’s students to engage in private speech, including speech in the form of a cross-shaped helmet sticker memorial to their former colleagues.” Read Full Report Here.
